Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition which generates enhanced therapeutic efficacy relative to a cytokine-expressing cellular vaccine or a cancer therapeutic agent alone by administering a combination of the cytokine-expressing cellular vaccine containing the cytokine-expressing cellular vaccine and at least one additional cancer therapeutic agent for treatment of cancer, and to provide a method using the composition.SOLUTION: There are provided an improved composition for treatment of cancer, containing a GM-CSF-expressing cellular vaccine and at least one additional cancer therapeutic agent selected from the group consisting of an anti-CTLA4 antibody, an anti-4-1BB antibody, an interferon alpha, docetaxel, celecoxib, an anti-CD40 antibody, and a CD40 ligand for administration to a subject with cancer; and a method using the composition.
