Abstract:
This DC voltage boosting apparatus has one or more stages (three stages are shown in FIG. 2A) of DC/DC voltage-boosting converters (30, 40, 50) for voltage-boosting an output from a DC power supply (10). Each of the DC/DC voltage-boosting converters (30, 40, 50) includes: first and second capacitor voltage-boosting circuits of transformerless type(31A, 41A, 51A; 31B, 41B, 51B) for performing voltage-boosting operations by use of the charging/discharging of capacitors; and path switches (32, 33, 42, 43, 52, 53) for switching input/output paths of the first and second capacitor voltage-boosting circuits (31A, 41A, 51A; 31B, 41B, 51B).
