Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DC motor for a fuel pump and a carbon brush with a dramatically improved life.SOLUTION: A DC motor 100 for a fuel pump has a carbon brush 40 in sliding contact with an outer peripheral surface of a commutator 23, in which a recess 40-1 along a rotational direction of a rotor 20 is formed on a surface in sliding contact with the commutator 23 of the carbon brush 40, the carbon brush 40 is formed of a shape in which the carbon brush 40 and the commutator 23 slide and contact at two parts in an axial direction of the rotor 20, and has a rising part 40-2 with uniform thickness rising at the two parts in the axial direction of the rotor 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
