Abstract:
To provide a DC motor with which it is possible to suppress a rise of brush temperature without changing the body construction of the motor.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a DC motor 10 comprising at least a rotor 20, a commutator 24, a brush holder 12 and a yoke housing 11. The brush is contained in the inside of a brush case 25 an end of which on the commutator 24 side is open, the brush case 25 being constituted, at least partly, with metal. A portion of a side wall part 25A of the brush case 25 that adjoins an end side of the brush that is separate from the commutator 24 is notched. An insulation gap K2 is formed between an end side of the brush case 25 that is separate from the commutator 24 and the yoke housing 11, the insulation gap K2 having a blocking wall 7 formed on the upstream side in the rotation direction of the rotor 20 so as to close up the insulation gap K2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
