Title:
DA CONVERTING CIRCUIT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01133424
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To sharply reduce the number of resistances and switches constituting a converting section, by dividing input digital signals into two parts and adding the two parts to each other after they are respectively converted into analog signals.

CONSTITUTION: When the input signal impressed upon an input terminal 8 is 4-bit one, digital signals of the high-order two bits are selected at a 1st selecting circuit 9, latched by a 1st latch circuit 11, and impressed upon a 1st decoder(Dc) 13. Digital signals of the lower-order two bits are selected at a 2nd selecting circuit 10, latched by a 2nd latch circuit 12, and impressed upon the 2nd Dc 14. The Dcs 13 and 14 respectively generate the 1st and 2nd control signals which control the opening closing of each switch of the 1st and 2nd converting sections 15 and 25. If reference voltages +Vr and +Vr/4 are respectively applied across the 1st and 2nd voltage terminals 16 and 26 under such condition, output signals of the converting sections 15 and 25 respectively become Vr/2 and Vr/16, then the output voltage of an adder circuit 35 becomes 9/16Vr.
