Title:
DAMPENING WATER SUPPLY UNIT FOR OFFSET PRESS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3867092
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce much labor for nozzle cleaning, and to prevent troubles in printing, such as poor printing and a deterioration in quality, from being caused by a clogging of a nozzle.
SOLUTION: A plurality of spray nozzles 2 for supplying dampening water for an offset press are provided. The respective nozzles, which are arranged in a line, have outlets for emitting a jet of dampening water. Each of the outlets provided in the respective nozzles has a cross section which is elongated in a nozzle arrangement direction X, and the dampening water is jetted to a fan-shaped area 14 which is extended in the nozzle arrangement direction. Baffles 24, which are arranged at least on both sides of each nozzle in the nozzle arrangement direction, blocks an airflow 22 heading for the nozzle in the supply of the dampening water and the stop of the supply thereof. This cuts off the airflow near the spray nozzles, prevents ink and paper powder from adhering to the outlets, and eliminates malfunctions caused by the clogging of the nozzle.
