To recover a printer without stopping even when a fault of clogging a nozzle of a sprayer occurs by installing two sets of solenoid valves and spray nozzles for supplying dampening water to inject to the same positions in parallel.
Normally, a solenoid valve A side 3 is opened or closed to inject dampening water from a nozzle A side 2. Then, a solenoid valve B side 6 is opened or closed to inject the water from a nozzle B side 5. That is, the water is alternately supplied from the A side and the B side to a chromium roller 1. For example, if the nozzle A side 2 is clogged, the valve A side 3 is closed, and simultaneously supply of the water to a supply pipe A side of the water is stopped. The valve G side 6 is opened and closed in frequency of twice to inject the water from the nozzle B side 5 to the roller 1, and the water of the same amount as that when the nozzle A side 2 is normal is supplied. A driving circuit of the each valve is opened and closed in frequency decided in response to a set water amount value, a sequence of opening and closing and a printing speed of a printer.
