Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the space efficiency and avoid the complicated formation of an operation transmission mechanism.
CONSTITUTION: The damper arrangement structure of a read wheel suspension device for motorcycle which is interposed between a rear arm 21 and a car body fixing part is constituted by providing a buffer spring for softening the shock applied to the rear wheel from a road surface and a damper for suppressing the irregular vertical vibration of the rear wheel. In this case the buffer spring is arranged as a strip plate shaped leaf spring 31, below an oil pan 28, and a rotary type damper 30 is constituted by arranging a rotary piston 33 in rotatable manner in a damper case 32. The rotary type damper 30 is arranged so that the rotary shaft of the rotary piston 33 is set coaxial with the pivot shaft 27 of a rear arm 21, and the rotary shaft is fixed on the rear arm 21, and the damper case 32 is fixed on the crankcase.
