Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the space efficiency and sufficiently secure the rigidity of a rear arm.
CONSTITUTION: The damper arrangement structure for a rear wheel suspension device 29 for motorcycle is equipped with a buffer spring for softening the shock applied to a rear wheel from a road surface and a damper for suppressing the irregular vertical vibration of the rear wheel and is interposed between a rear arm and a car body fixing part. In this case, the buffer spring is formed from a strip plate shaped leaf spring 31 and arranged under the engine. Further, the damper is formed of a rotary type damper consist of a damper case 32 which has a large box shape and into which a rotary shaft 34 is inserted at one edge and a plate shaped blade profile piston 33 for dividing the inside of the case into two chambers and whose one edge is fixed on the rotary shaft 34. The damper 30 is arranged so that the rotary shaft 34 is set in the vehicle width direction and the damper case 32 is set longitudinal, and the rotary shaft 34 is connected to the rear arm, and the damper case 32 is fixed on the body frame.
