To cancel the expanding and contracting operation of a damper having a large damping force coping to a large amplitude if the damper is installed on a base isolation device except for the case that the extending and contracting operation of the damper is demanded.
The damper coupling device capable of switching coupling between a damper D and a fixed body G includes: a frame body 4; a lock pin 1 provided on the frame 4 and movable downward; a plate 3 having a hole 2a for inserting the lock pin 1 at a position horizontally away from the lock pin 1 by a predetermined distance, the plate being provided on the lower side of the lock pin 1 and fixed to the fixed body G; and a base frame 2 having a hole 2a for inserting the lock pin 1 at a downward position of the lock pin which is provided at the lower side of the plate 3 and fixed to the fixed body G.
