To provide a damper device wherein a second member can be opened with respect to a first member with small force because resistance due to contact between an inner surface of a case and a valve element is reduced or eliminated.
The damper device comprises the case 2, a shaft 3 inserted in the case 2, a viscous fluid filled in the case 2 and the valve element 5 arranged between the inner surface of the case 2 and the shaft 3. The valve element 5 is supported by the shaft 3 in such a manner that the valve element can be displaced at a predetermined angle relative to the shaft 3 in the circumferential direction of the shaft 3. In the damper device, when the shaft 3 is rotated in one direction relative to the case 2, the valve element 5 is displaced in the other direction relative to the shaft 3 so as to be guided toward the inner surface of the case 2. When the shaft 3 is rotated in the other direction relative to the case 2, the valve element 5 is displaced in one direction relative to the shaft 3 so as to be guided toward the center of the shaft 3.
