Title:
DAMPER MOUNTING STRUCTURE IN TORSION BEAM TYPE SUSPENSION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3390626
Kind Code:
B
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase bracket mounting strength against a horizontal component force in the longitudinal direction by integrally forming a pair of front and rear leg parts extending downward in a bracket to which a damper is installed and welding the both leg parts to both of the front and rear faces in a torsion beam.
SOLUTION: A bracket 5 is constructed of two plate members 50, 50 on the left and right sides. In each plate member 50, a pair of leg parts 5a, 5a extending downward are integrally formed so as to be welded to both of the front and rear faces of a stiffener 3. In this way, a horizontal component force in the longitudinal direction is received by means of the stiffener 3, that is, by means of a torsion beam 1 via the leg parts 5a even when a load tilted in the longitudinal direction works on the bracket 5. Therefore, mounting strength for the bracket 5 against a horizontal component force in the longitudinal direction can be improved. In addition, torsional rigidity of the bracket 5 can be increased when the left and right plate members 50, 50 are bent so as to be provided with projection shapes in the plane view.
