Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promote the simplification of structure, reducing the number of part items and assembling man-hour as well as manufacturing cost, and improve the sensitivity of a power steering system.
SOLUTION: A damper valve 10 of a hydraulic power steering consisting of being installed with this damper valve 10 in either spot on the circuit of a hydraulic fluid connecting a selector valve and a power cylinder in a gearbox is equipped with a partitioning member 12 partitioning off a valve casing 11 into two chambers, and a shaft member 13 extending as piercing through a central part of this partitioning member 12 respectively, and a first valve mechanism 14 permitting only one directional flow of the hydraulic fluid is installed in this partitioning member 12, while a second valve mechanism 15 permitting only another directional flow of the hydraulic fluid is installed in the shaft member 13. This first valve mechanism 14 is comprising a plurality of communicating holes 16 formed in the partitioning member 12 and a plate spring 17 opening or closing these communicating holes 16. The second valve mechanism 15 consists of two ball check valves 19 and 20. The other directional flow of the hydraulic fluid is defined as an outgoing flow toward the power cylinder from the selector valve.
