Title:
DAMPER VALVE OF HYDRAULIC POWER STEERING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3963600
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damper valve for a hydraulic power steering device of a vehicle capable of establishing an improved damping performance, eliminating the resisting or sticking feeling in the steering operation, particularly in the low-speed running, enhancing the comfortableness in steering, and decreasing the number of component parts.
SOLUTION: A damper valve 30 of a hydraulic power steering device is equipped with a piston valve 46 installed in a working oil circuit tying an oil passage selector valve in a gear box to the left and right oil chambers of a power cylinder and opening with a flow of a working oil circulated back to the oil passage changeover valve from either of the left and right oil chambers and a check valve 40 installed in the valve element 36 of the piston valve 46 and allowing flow-through of only the working oil supplied to either oil chamber of the power cylinder from the oil passage selector valve. The piston valve 46 forms a throttled oil passage with flow-through of the circulated working oil having a pressure below a certain level and forms a full open oil passage with flow-through of the circulated working oil having a pressure over the specified level. Oil passages 39 and 36a for the circulated working oil are formed in the valve element 36 of the piston valve 46.
