To provide a damper absorbing vibration energy having various magnitudes such as big vibration of an earthquake or the like and small vibration etc. of a typhoon or the like.
The damper 4 is mounted over between a corner section A formed by connecting two framework members of a building such as a column 2 and a beam 3 or the like, and a corner section B opposed to the corner section A. The damper 4 includes: a shaft section 11 having rigidity; shaft length adjusting sections 12 and 13 for adjusting the length of the shaft section 11 provided to the end section of the shaft section 11; a first damper section 14 provided to an approximately central part of the shaft section 11; a second damper section 15 and 16 respectively connected to both end sections of the shaft section 11; and metal fixtures 17 and 18 mounting the second damper sections 15 and 16 to them and, at the same time, molded in an L-shape mounted to both corner sections A and B opposed to each other.
