Abstract:
To suppress decline in a base isolation performance to earthquake vibration assumed in ordinary design and develop damping force on the greater earthquake vibration than assumed in the design, in a simple construction.SOLUTION: A damper includes a cylinder 12 having a cylinder chamber 1210 storing viscous fluid, a hollow case 14 arranged in the cylinder chamber 1210 on an axial center of the cylinder 12 in a reciprocable manner for parting the cylinder chamber 1210 in two, a rod 16 arranged in the cylinder chamber 1210 so that one end 1602 in a longitudinal direction is protruded from an end in an axial center direction of the cylinder 12 in a reciprocable manner, and a viscous fluid passage 24, the rod 16 being provided with an abutment part 1606 capable of abutting on a pair of case end face walls 1404, 1406. Herein, an energizing member 18 is provided for making a center in an extending direction of the hollow case 14 located at the center in the axial center direction of the cylinder 12 in the state that the abutment part 1606 is located at a center in the axial center direction of the cylinder 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
