Abstract:
To improve vibration control performance by absorbing a wide range of seismic energy from small vibration to large vibration even in a high-rise building.SOLUTION: A damping building 1 comprises pillars 2; beams 3; and viscous dampers 5. A first beam 3 is divided into first ane second beam members 31, 32 having braces 4 jointed to tips 31b in a longitudinal direction. A hysteretic damper 6 is provided between the first and second beam members 31, 32.
