Abstract:

To obtain damping construction having a saved space at a low cost in the damping construction for damping vibration of a structure by making use of low yield point steel materials.

Four linear tie plate-like low yield point steel materials 22 are incorporated in a precast concrete wall member (PC wall member) 20 of a building 10. The low yield point steel materials 22 are in a non-bond state to the concrete of the PC wall member 20, and both ends are connected to a beam part 18 of the building 10 to constitute a brace of the building 10. The building 10 is vibrated with a strong earthquake, and when a column and a beam 18 of the building 10 are largely bent and are deformed, before the column and beam 18 reach a yield point, the low yield point steel materials 22 for constituting the brace reach the yield point to cause plastic deformation, and vibration energy is absorbed by the plastic deformation. In that case, the concrete of the PC wall member 20 surrounding the low yield point steel materials 22 therewith effectively prevents the buckling of the low yield point steel materials 22.
