Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damping device of a skeleton structure and a passenger conveyor using the same, capable of miniaturizing and lightening a brace by preventing application of moment to the brace in increasing a deformation amount of the brace and transferring the same to an attenuation element, in the damping device of the skeleton structure in which bending deformation occurs.SOLUTION: In a damping device of a skeleton structure in which bending deformation occurs, an attenuation element deformed by a rotating member in increasing a deformation amount of a brace and transferring the same to the attenuation element, is disposed on a first intersecting portion as an intersecting portion of one of an upper chord material and a lower chord material, and a connecting member. As connection with other members, of a first rod member and a second rod member corresponding to the brace, are implemented only by rotational support at both ends, moment does not act on the first rod member and the second rod member, thus these members can be miniaturized and lightened.
