Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique that can restrain deterioration of magnetic particles of a magnetic viscous fluid in a damping device using the magnetic viscous fluid.SOLUTION: In a damping device 1, a body part 10 comprises an upper chamber 32 to which a pressure is applied from a vibrating body, and a lower chamber 30. A magnetic viscous fluid 18 is enclosed in the upper chamber 32 and the lower chamber 30. At least two flow passages 50 and 52 are provided between the upper chamber 32 and the lower chamber 30, and allow the magnetic viscous fluid 18 to flow. A magnetic flux generating part 48 generates magnetic flux crossing the at least two flow passages 50 and 52 so as to control flowability of the magnetic viscous fluid 18 in the at least two flow passages 50 and 52 depending on pressures of the upper chamber 32 and the lower chamber 30 respectively.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
