Abstract:
To provide a damping element built-in type composite structure element.
A damping element built-in type composite structure element is formed of a nonmetal matrix 15 reinforced by a large number of filaments 18. In order to damping the vibration of the element, a light metal having an intrinsic damping capacity of at least 1% is provided to at least one of the matrix and the filaments. The light metal is a magnesium alloy or an aluminum alloy and applied to the filaments 18 and/or the pores 22 of a porous matrix 16.
