PURPOSE: To finish inquiry processing including a variable in a short time without applying excessive burden for the selection of processing procedure when inquiry is executed.
CONSTITUTION: Inquiry analysis 112 for an inputted command is performed by compilation processing 111 in a relational data base managing system(DBMS) 110, and all the processing procedures that can be set as the optimum one by the value of the variable are registered as candidates when the variable is included in a condition by processing procedure candidate selection 113, and when the inquiry is executed, all the processing procedures registered by execution request 116 and interpretation and execution 117 are executed in parallel, and a result obtained first by result reception control 118 is returned to a user.
