Abstract:

PURPOSE: To precisely calculate a work area by providing a means for obtaining a travel distance based on sensor information, calculating the work area through the use of the result and correcting the work area.
CONSTITUTION: Communication between a controller 1 and a data collection device 20 is executed through communication interfaces 40 and 41. The travel distance is calculated from the number of pulses, which is detected by a vehicle speed sensor 2A on a machine-side, and the work area is obtained by multiplying the travel distance by work width. At that time, work width is corrected by subtracting the overlap margin. The slip factor (V1-V2)/V2 of a wheel is calculated by sped V1 obtained from the vehicle speed sensor 2A and speed V2 calculated from a ground speed sensor (Doppler sensor) fitted to the lower part of the machine so as to correct the travel distance. The obtained work area is transferred to a RAM card 29 and is stored.
