To provide a data collection device which can inexpensively be constituted, capable of enhancing housing strength without deteriorating the performance of an antenna.
A reflection plate 30e is arranged on the upper surface of a body housing 30a, and radio communication parts (antennas) 37a, 37b are extended upward from the upper surface of the reflection plate 30e. Since the body housing 30a is formed of a metal material, it can be constituted inexpensively with enhanced strength in comparison with the case of forming the body housing 30a of a resin material by this constitution. Since the reflection plate 30e is arranged on the upper surface of the body housing 30a and the radio communication parts 37a, 37b are extended to the upside from the upper surface of the reflection plate 30e, the reflection plate 30e prevents the metal body housing 30a from exerting an influence on the directivity of a radio wave, and the deterioration of the performance of the radio communication parts 37a, 37b caused by the influence of the metal body housing 30a can be prevented by forming a grounding level.
