This data collection system 1 is provided with: a reader terminal 10 having a reader part 12 for reading identification data owned by an object in a non-contact state and a storage part 15 for storing predetermined data including the identification data; and a base main body 20 having an input part 22 for inputting data and a terminal arrangement part which can be connected to and separated from the reader terminal. In a state that the reader terminal 10 is separated from the terminal arrangement part, the reader terminal 10 reads identification data in a non-contact state through a reader part, and stores predetermined data including the identification data in a storage part 15, and in a state that both of them are connected, the reader terminal 10 acquires the data input through the input part 22 as predetermined data, and stores the predetermined data in the storage part 15.
