Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a 2-way data communication function by connecting a host computer having only a function of an initiator of SCSI and a communication adaptor having only a target function to the SCSI bus.
CONSTITUTION: A host computer 1 having a function of an initiator for SCSI and a communication adaptor 2 having a target function of the SCSI and a data communication function via a communication line 4 are connected by an SCSI bus 3. When the host computer 1 receives data from the communication adaptor 2, the computer 1 executes periodically the SCSI command to confirm whether or not data received by the communication adaptor and executes an SCSI command to check its data length when the data are in existence and executes an SCSI command to receive the data. Thus, 2-way data communication is attained.
