Abstract:
PURPOSE: To display the contents of data on a data carrier without containing a battery in the data carrier itself.
CONSTITUTION: In order to display data stored in a storage part 21, a thermochromic material is applied on a case of a data carrier 20 in advance, and the thermochromic material becomes reversibly transparent or nebulous. When data in a storage part 21 of the data carrier 20 is read in and rewritten, a control part 11 of a reader/writer 10 varies a crystal state of the thermochromic material by controlling a thermal head 15, erases the previous data of the thermochromic material and executes printing so that rewritten data is visible.
