Abstract:

To provide a communication method and apparatus with less energy consumption and immune to external noise in waveguide type in-human-body communication for using two transmission electrodes and two reception electrodes pressed into contact with or close to the human body to form a waveguide into a human body and capable of transmitting information without the need for forming a closed circuit via ground or a surrounding environment.

A data transmitter 1 and a data receiver 2 are placed in press contact with or close to the human body 3, and when a signal is given to the human body 3 to produce a very weak electromagnetic wave into the human body 3 for transmitting the signal from the data transmitter 1 to the data receiver 2, frequency modulation using a frequency is applied to transmitted data, the frequency providing a greater signal input output gain in the in-human-body communication than an input output gain when the signal is spread in air.
