Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for executing data transfer enabling QoS (quality of service) assurance of data to be transmitted/received.
SOLUTION: Setting of priority tags of the IEEE802.1p standards which serve as priority identifiers is carried out under the control of management of a tag management terminal. The priority tags are set so as to be executed as priority processing e.g. to avoid overlapping of queues of a communication control device such as a network connecting switch with a data flow being an object of QoS assurance. The terminal, for example, forms a state of queue usage in an intrasubnetwork communication into a table to hold it, and refers to the table, in response to a queue request from each terminal to assign a tag to each terminal. In this way, in the communication control device such as a switch for performing data transfer control, overlapping queue of priority processing flow can be prevented from occurring by only applying the table in which the tags are correlated with the queues.
