Abstract:

To provide a data conversion apparatus capable of automatically correcting an erroneous conversion when extracting characters or a computation expression from image data including a plurality of characters for operation and characters indicating an operation result when these characters are calculated using a predetermined computation expression to covert them into data such as a spread sheet operation.SOLUTION: From image data including multiple characters for operation and characters indicating operation results when these characters are calculated using a predetermined computation expression, the multiple characters for operation, the computation expression and the characters indicating the operation results are extracted, and converted into editable data. By comparing operation results obtained when the multiple extracted characters for operation are calculated using the extracted computation expression, with the characters indicating the extracted operation results, it is determined that whether or not at least any of the extracted characters for operation, the computation expression and the characters indicating the operation results is erroneously converted. When at least the any of them is determined to be erroneously converted, it is corrected to an appropriate character or computation expression.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
