Abstract:

To carry out the correction of printing data within a shorter time by providing a motor for storing the printing data and unevenness correction data and a means for reading continuously the above-said data from the memory.

In the case of storing individual resistance correction values for respective resistors of a thermal head in a DRAM 4, the storing order is made to conform with the order of setting resistors on the thermal head, and addresses are added one by one to read corresponding data successively. The computation is performed by an address formation circuit, and the computation is output as an address of a column based on the signals from a DRAM timing control circuit 2, and both of RAS and CAS signals are controlled by the DRAM timing control circuit 2 as the second access of the page mode operation performed by the DRAM, and the data are input into a data control circuit 3. The data can be obtained in a short time by utilizing the page mode operation of the DRAM 4.
