Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent a piece of data from being dubbed simultaneously by a method wherein, when the display of the piece of data such as a time code or the like is required, the piece of data is displayed automatically on a tele vision screen and the display is stopped automatically when a dubbing operation is started. CONSTITUTION:A keying signal which controls the following is output from a character generation circuit 14 according to a piece of information on a time code: a brightness signal indicating the time code; a chroma signal; and switches 16, 17, 56, 57 which superimpose the piece of information on the time code. The keying signal is output from an output terminal 55 for LCD display use; it is displayed on a liquid-crystal display panel. The brightness signal is superimposed in a brightness signal from a brightness processing circuit 5 by using the switch 56 which is changed over by the keying signal from the circuit 14; it is output from a brightness-signal output terminal 58 for EVF use. In the same manner, the chroma signal is output from a chroma signal output terminal 59 for EVF use via the switch 57. In this manner, the time code produced in the circuit 14 is superimposed in the brightness signal and the chroma signal by using the switches 56, 57; it is output to an EVF.
