Title:
DATA MEMORY FOR VEHICLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH10197282
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To facilitate the use of a general memory which does not require durability by selectively dispersively storing an accumulated traveling distance in a memory means having a plurality of memory cells.

A plurality of equipment control means (ECU) for a vehicle has, for example, ECUs 10i (1≤i≤n) for controlling a distance recorder and the like which have memories 18i such as EEPROM or flash memory for respectively storing accumulated traveled distances. The respective ECU 10i are connected to a data bus 30 to constitute a LAN for a vehicle. When the vehicle travels, the ECU 10i reads a traveling distance sensor, calculates an accumulated traveled distance, switches it by a predetermined method and dispersively store it in the memories 18i the ECU 10i. The ECU 10i reads the accumulated traveled distance via a communication with the respective ECU 10i, and displays it on a display unit. Since reading and writing are not concentrated at the single memory, the memory having high universality can be used.
