Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a multiplexing method, which clarifies the start time and return time of a reception side by fixing the maximum time up to S/P conversion completion in a data multiplex transmission system and is effective to a system and an application regarding start and return as important.
SOLUTION: In this data transmission system for defining at least video compressed data and audio compressed data as a payload, attaching header information to the respective data and transmitting a transport stream(TS) subjected to time division packet multiplexing, a packet including 'NULL' (meaningless) data is subjected to time division packet multiplexing to the TS in a prescribed cycle and transmitted.
