Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a pure object oriented operating system capable of constructing a flexible system and reducing the operating frequency of a context switch.
SOLUTION: In the case of transmitting a message from a certain object to another object by executing a prescribed method, the execution of the transmitting source object is interrupted and the context data of the object are rewritten so as to indicate the interruption of the execution of the object. Then a prescribed module is accessed, a procedure corresponding to the method out of plural procedures of the module is executed to retrieve the context data of the transmitted destination object, the context data detected by the retrieval are rewritten so as to indicate that the object corresponding to the context data are being executed, and a message from the transmitting source object is delivered to the transmitted destination object.
