Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a data processing system capable of more surely preventing the use of an optical information recording medium having illegal copied data.
CONSTITUTION: The 1st collating music data are recorded in a CD-ROM 4 together with various data necessary for games. On the other hand, the 2nd collating music data and collating program data are stored in a ROM 302 of an external memory cartridge 3. At the time of starting the system, a CPU 101a collates the 1st collating music data read out of the CD-ROM 4 with the 2nd collating music data read out of the ROM 302 by processing collating program data, and only when both the data coincide with each other as the result of collation the processing of a game program recorded in the CD-ROM 4 is enabled.
