Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the calculation accuracy of own ship velocity data in an automatic radar tracking apparatus which inputs gyro data and log data and displays a wake.
CONSTITUTION: Each time gyro data and log data are input, its input time is added and stored in a table. When it becomes a calculating timing of own ship velocity data, latest log data is retrieved and selected, and gyro data input at the time nearest to the inputting time of the log data is retrieved and selected. The own ship velocity data is calculated based on the gyro data and the log data. Thus, since the velocity data is calculated based on bearing data (gyro data) and ship velocity data (log data) of substantially the same time, accurate data can be calculated.
