Two RAMs for temporarily storing processed data are provided at each location between data processing parts in a voice encoding device 1. When the data processing part in a prestage processes data volume necessary for one processing of the succeeding data processing part and the processed data are stored in one RAM, a control part 35 controls the RAMs so that the data processing part of a next stage reads out data from one RAM simultaneously with switching of one RAM to the other RAM to store data processed next.
