Abstract:

To provide a recording and reproducing apparatus properly acquiring contents data.

A processing section 250 of the recording and reproducing apparatus 200 acquires contents data of contents set by a user to acquire program interlocking data interlocking with contents main data from the contents data. The processing section 250 acquires setting keyword data stored in a memory 240 to determines whether the program interlocking data include a BML file including a character string relating to the keyword set by the user. When the processing section 250 determines that the setting keyword data include the BML file including the character string, the processing section 250 specifies the contents main data with which the BML file specifies and acquires the main data from the acquired contents main data.
