To provide an image processor, an image processing method, an inkjet recording apparatus and an inkjet recording method, which enable the recording of a high-quality image by restraining periodic main-scanning-direction unevenness in density from occurring on the image, when the image is recorded by using a plurality of kinds of inks.
When recording using the same pixel is performed by using nozzle arrays, provided at a relatively short interval in a main scanning direction, as ink ejecting nozzle arrays for the respective kinds of inks (shown as (a) in Fig.), misregistration of an ink droplet reaching a recording medium is hardly caused than in the case where the recording is performed by using the nozzle arrays provided at a relatively long interval in the main scanning direction (shown as (b) in Fig.). By paying attention to this, a dot arrangement pattern for being laid out for image data is selected so that the nozzle arrays provided at the relatively short interval in the main scanning direction can be used for the recording using the same pixel.
