PURPOSE: To efficiently select a target processing item by saving a useless procedure by inhibiting the display of a processing item which is not selected in accordance with a processing state, and displaying the processing item having high possibility of selection earlier than that which has low possibility.
CONSTITUTION: A menu data storage part 4 classifies data displayed as a menu on a menu display part 3, based on the processing contents, and a menu display inhibiting function part 7a of a menu data operating part 7 for coupling hierarchically these data by a pointer and storing them couples a processing item group whose display is not required in accordance with a processing state by the pointer and classifies it, and inhibits the display of the same processing item by detaching it from the coupling group of the classification based on the processing contents in the menu data storage part 4. Also, a menu display ranking change function part 7b changes the display ranking of each processing item in the same hierarchy in order of high selection frequency. In such a way, a target processing item can be selected efficiently by saving a useless procedure.
