Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the data reading circuit of the automatic playing device which can shift a musical performance start position not only to a musical sound data position, but also to a specific time interval position of beats, etc.
CONSTITUTION: For forward processing, the number of clocks up to a next event and the number of clocks up to a next beat are set in registers CLK1 and CLK2 (steps F2 and F3) and it is judged which of the next event and beat is closer (step F5). When the event is closer, an event that its position pointer indicates is executed (step F11), the position painter is advanced (step F13), and data setting for processing such as a musical performance from the position painter is performed (steps F14-F16). When the beat is closer, a beat stop is only signaled and data setting is performed (steps F6-F9). In either case, the processing is ended in synchronism with other tracks (step F10).
