To decode received data normally, even when part of initialization symbols under training are corrupted.
A receive unit includes an initialization signal generation unit 9 which generates an initialization signal and a descramble circuit 10 which descrambles received data using a descrambler which is initialized by the initialization signal. The received data contains a training purpose data set including one or more TSn order sets necessary to establish a connection for high speed serial communication. The TSn order sets each consist of one or more COM symbols and one or more data other than the COM symbol. The initialization signal generation unit 9 generates an initialization signal which initializes the descramble circuit 10 synchronously with the last phase of initialization in which at least the last COM symbol among the COM symbols comprising the last TSn order set included in the training purpose data set is fed into the descramble circuit 10.
