Abstract:

To provide a data receiver for a high-speed data transmission system with reliability that adopts the CIMT coding system for its simplex configuration.

The data receiver 12 is provided with a CIMT decoder 16 that receives a digital data stream and analyzes a consecutive part of the digital data stream to identify a prescribed pattern and with a clock generating circuit 17 and a word alignment logic circuit 18 that supply the received digital data to the CIMT decoder 16 according to a 1st state in response to the detection of the prescribed pattern of the received digital data and that supply other data to the CIMT decoder 16 according to a 2nd state in response to a failure in the detection of the prescribed pattern of the received digital data.
