Abstract:

To provide a data receiving device in which symbol data to be retransmitted is specified in order to reduce traffic upon retransmission.

An effective symbol specifying unit 22 for specifying effective symbol data used for decoding of transmission data among a source symbol and a parity symbol that are included in the transmission data received by a reception unit 21, a retransmission source symbol number calculation unit 23 for specifying the number of symbols representing the number of retransmission source symbols that are required for decoding and are retransmission targets among the source symbols not included in the transmission data received by the reception unit 21, and a retransmission source symbol specifying unit 24 for specifying as many retransmission source symbols as the number of symbols specified by the retransmission source symbol number calculation unit 23 by using the effective symbol data specified by the effective symbol specifying unit 22 and matrix data of a check matrix 30 stored in a recording device 5 or the like in advance are included.
