Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively detect attack data including a dummy packet whose TTL (Time To Live) is controlled so as not to reach a target machine.
SOLUTION: A packet inspection section 14 compares a TTL value indicated in a packet received by a packet transmission reception section 11 with a TTL value required up to a packet destination (target machine) measured by a measurement packet generating section 12 and a measurement packet transmission/ reception section 13. A packet inspection section 14 discards the packet when the indicated TTL value is smaller than the measured TTL value, a data reconfiguration section 15 combines a plurality of packets not discarded but maintained by the packet inspection section 14 to reconfigure data contents and an attack check section 17 determines whether the reconfigured data contents are coincident with an attack signature stored in a signature DB 16.
