Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data relay system/method which enables many terminals to receive a multicast in a LAN where the multicast is not complete or in an Internet.
SOLUTION: In order to use a communication network 3 with provides simultaneous distribution services in the one-way direction e.g. 'teledome', 'off-talk' or the line to the one-to-many simultaneous distribution of stream data such as animations, voices or the like, which flow in a real time in a LAN 1, an Internet or the like, transmitting side and receiving side data relay devices 2 and 4 are provided by holding the network 3 between the both sides 3. The transmitting side device 2 shapes the data so that they can be normally received by the receiving side device 4 and the receiving side device 4 reconfigures the received multicast data.
