Abstract:

To enable a distributor to voluntarily limit the use of data by a user terminal without needing a preliminary procedure for user registration.

The data distribution terminal distributes a decoding condition-set decoding key in which a decoding condition for permitting decoding of encrypted data or not is added to the encrypted data, decoding software for decoding the encrypted data and the encrypted data. The user terminal determines whether decoding is permitted or not based on the decoding condition set in the decoding condition-set decoding key distributed by the data distribution terminal, and decodes, when permission of the decoding is determined, the encrypted data distributed by the data distribution terminal based on the decoding key and the decoding software.
