Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a device and a method for efficiently distributing and storing plural data items on plural detachable storage media for respective subjects.
CONSTITUTION: A first storage mechanism is prepared so as to store the data items on an RMI. A means for reserving a storage area on the other RMI in the case that storage can not be performed by the first storage mechanism is provided. A factor larger than '1' is multiplied to the actual size of the data item so as to prepare data for indicating the size of a storage tree area to be reserved and a multiplication mechanism for performing the multiplication is connected to the first storage mechanism. In the case that the first storage mechanism can not store a relating data item, the data item is stored on the different RMI where the free area is reserved and the successively generated relating data items are stored in the reserved storage free area.
