To provide a data storage device providing a plurality of IC memories inside a memory card and changing a switch with its installed in a host when changing over between them from an external switch.

The memory card 1 is provided with a first memory 12-1, a second memory 12-2 and a first switch 13 changing over between the memories and a second switch 14 changing the connection of an inserting/pull-out detecting terminal INS. The first and second switches 13 and 14 are interlocked with a slide switch 6 outside a casing. The first switch 13 is provided with a contact selecting no memory in an intermediate part between a contact selecting the first memory 12-1 and a contact selecting the second memory 12-2. The second switch 14, when the first switch 13 is changed to the contact selecting the first or the second memory, connects the terminal INS to the ground and, when it is changed to the contact selecting no memory, opens the terminal INS.
